Description kujub 2007-03-15 10:10:51 UTC
Version: 1.2.0 (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

When hibernating while having ksysguard applet in kicker with signal plotter for localhost:network/interfaces/eth0/transmiter/data and receiver/data after resume there is only shown some icon in applet display, no data are plotted any more. Ksysguard itself reconnects (when started) but the applet is just sitting there.

Just a dirty workaround:
killall ksysguardd # *not* ksysguard
after resume (does not work on older versions)

This seems not to appear on gentoo, neither with KDE 3.5.5 nor with KDE 3.5.6 .

Does this still happen?

Closing in one month if there is no feedback.

Thanks.

It is still the same here with the new Ubuntu 7.10 wich includes KDE 3.5.8 now.
(Gentoo with 3.5.7 is ok.)

Steps to reproduce:
Did a fresh, clean install of Kubuntu 7.10 (includes KDE 3.5.8).
Added ksysguard-applet to kicker with signal-plotter for
 localhost:network/interfaces/eth0/receiver/data and
 localhost:network/interfaces/eth0/transmitter/data.
Hiberated and thawed. -> Signal-plotter for eth0 lost connection.
Did a killall ksysguardd. -> Signal-Plotter for eth0 reconnected.
Installed all updates provided by the distribution and rebooted (new kernel).
Tried again with same result.

No problem on ArchLinux with KDE 3.5.9 too.
Seems to be a Ubuntu-/Debian-ploblem.

Closing this here.
