Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux It would be very useful to be able to select a certain directory which contains all mail directories for an imap account. This should work just as the feature of Thunderbird "Account settings -> server settings -> advances -> IMAP server directory". For example, on one of my IMAP servers, all directories are subdirectories of INBOX. Therefore, KMail (and also Thunderbird when I do not use the feature mentioned above) shows all directories as subdirectories of the Inbox. In Thunderbird, with the setting set to INBOX, all direct subdirectories of INBOX appear on the same level as the Inbox (giving Inbox, Sent, Drafts and so on nicely in a list just as in the usual local folders). On another IMAP server, not being able to select a directory leads to the following: all folders are shown that are in my home directory on that server and which have nothing to do with e-mail. The directory that DOES contain the mails is also shown, but I cannot access its subdirectories, making the IMAP server completely unusable with KMail. With Thunderbird, it works (showing unnecessary folders with out setting the server directory, and working perfectly when setting the server directory).
Sorry, have difficulties to understand you. Can you explain it more clearly when this is still a valid wish?
Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented. Thank you for your understanding.
Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2
