Description Imre Péntek 2007-03-05 19:28:52 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.3)
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package
OS: Linux

I set proxy environment variables, check runs correctly, but after saving changes it doesn't work, however wget and similar works correctly with the same settings. Shov variable values checkbox shows the appropriate values.

It should be tested with KDE4 too.
Comment 2 Dawit Alemayehu 2011-10-13 20:52:20 UTC
Cannot reproduce in KDE 4.7.

Please note that unless the environment variable based proxy settings were setup before KDE was started, then there is no way for KDE to use those variables. IOW, it won't work if you setup the environment proxy from KDE's konsole and then expect the settings to work. Make sure you restart KDE if you set new environment variables for proxying.

Since KDE 3.x is no longer supported, feel free to reopen this ticket if the issue persists in KDE 4.x and once you had made sure the proxy settings are correctly visible to KDE as discussed above.
