Description José San Martin 2007-03-04 14:03:13 UTC
Version: 1.4.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

Diacritics are not being correcly handled in Amarok.

For instance, I have a music named "Irénée". When I try to find this particular music by creating a filter (both in playlist or collection), if I type "ire" the music won't be found. It will only match the music "Irénée" if I type "iré".

Although not totally wrong, this behaviour is quite annoying. Most search engines handle diacritics nicely in order to find the expected result regardless of diacritics. Amarok, for usability sake, should do the same.
