Description Tian 2007-02-27 19:50:35 UTC
Version: 0.12.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages
OS:                Linux

This problems occurs during a discussion using Yahoo plugin. After a few messages, the following ones are no more displayed. The status bar indicates the user is typing something but nothing is shown. During the tests, the other client was gaim with Yahoo plugins. Messages typed from Kopete are correctly displayed in gaim, event after the problem occurs.

I was not able to find a patter that could make this problem occurs. The text I entered on gaim side was only simple text (no image, smiley, style...).

I launched Kopete from a console to get more information. During normal behaviour, there is such lines:

Transfer ACCEPTED by: MessageReceiverTask
Transfer ACCEPTED by: MessageReceiverTask

Then, when the problem occurs:

CLIENT: Task: Task::done()
CLIENT: Task: emitting finished

After that, I still see the previous lines each time a new message is sent:

Transfer ACCEPTED by: MessageReceiverTask

Thank you for any support/workaround/fix. Do not hesitate to let me know if you need more information.

Hi,

I've the same problem. After setting Kopete to "offline" and "online", I can read a few lines again.

could one of you please verify that the problem still exists in kopete 0.12.5?

No response for several months.
