When a filter is applied in detailed list view, nonmatching files disappear (as they should).  However, if one selects a group using shift+click or ctrl+A (maybe others), those nonmatching files that would appear between the selection ends are included.  Example:

For example

Files:        a.pdf  b.jpg  c.pdf
Filter pdf:   a.pdf  c.pdf
Ctrl+A -> Del
Files:        (Empty)
