Version:           1.2.4 (using KDE 3.5.6, Kubuntu (edgy) 4:3.5.6-0ubuntu1~edgy1)
Compiler:          Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.17-11-generic

There is no way once the event had been added to the specific resource calendar, say Work, to change this event to be in Home calendar or Birthdays calendar. 

There should be an easy way to edit to which resource calendar the event belongs to.

As a workaround, if you cut/paste an object, korganizer will ask you in which resource to store it
