Description Mathieu R. 2007-02-24 12:01:35 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

wen filtering incoming mail > copy to folder and mark as read, the new mail is copied to the right folder but not marked as read
Comment 1 Thomas McGuire 2007-02-24 19:11:55 UTC
I can confirm this.

I guess copying a mail always creates a new, unread mail.
The filter action "mark as read" works on the original mail, not the copy.

I have this issue with Move to folder and Mark as read. (The email is moved, but not marked as read.) Do you think it could be the same bug? Version 4.8.3.
Comment 3 Christian 2012-09-07 16:44:31 UTC
Using KDE 4.8.5 I don't have this (Move to folder and Mark as read) bug any more. But I'm not sure if this was the same bug as in the first poster.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
