Description Neale Pickett 2007-02-22 18:38:47 UTC
Version: 1.9.5 (using KDE 3.5.5, Kubuntu (edgy) 4:3.5.5-0ubuntu3.1)
Compiler:          Target: powerpc-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (ppc) release 2.6.17-10-powerpc

The following message is on my IMAP server. It contains:

MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: application/msword;
  name="030107 Agenda .doc"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
Content-Disposition: attachment;
	filename="030107 Agenda .doc"
Subject: T-Board Agenda for March 1 Meeting

So basically, there is no text, only an attachment. KMail renders this just fine, but when I save or open the attachment it gets severely truncated and (obviously) will not open in KWord or OpenOffice.

Here's the email:

I guess I should note that I can save and view the attachment with SquirrelMail. Haven't tried any other MUAs.

By "severely truncated", do you mean that the resulting files will be zero bytes big?
Comment 3 Neale Pickett 2007-02-22 21:42:27 UTC
Not quite *that* severe.

-rw-r--r-- 1 neale neale 70144 2007-02-22 13:41 030107 Agenda .doc
-rw------- 1 neale neale   612 2007-02-22 13:24 030107 Agenda (trunc).doc

The first one came from squirrelmail. The second one came from KWord.
