Version: 3.5.6 (using KDE 3.5.6, Kubuntu (edgy) 4:3.5.6-0ubuntu1~edgy1) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.17-10-386 See the attachment to understand the bug. When the subject is longer then the width space (that's the most common) Korganizer hides it with a light/dark effect. And Korganizar allows the user to drag the subject with the mouse to see the entire text... but it shows it opaque!.
Created attachment 19694 [details] Annoying issue
The new month view introduced with 4.1 elides the summary of events if the width is not big enough (adding "..." at the end). A tooltip shows the whole summary when pointing the mouse at it. Additionally, it is possible to disable the display of icons in the month view in order to gain some space in the events. I agree that this is not actually the solution to the problem (not the whole summary is visible), but I can't actually think of a better solution to this. Any ideas are welcome ;-)
- We removed seconds from month items and gained some more space. - You can use the tooltip - You can use the event viewer - Allen removed some icons Can we close this?
Please close it if you consider it's enough solved. However I expected that the text was readable when it is scrolled :)
How do you scroll text?
As the original report said: "And Korganizar allows the user to drag the subject with the mouse to see the entire text.." However I haven't checked Kontact in KDE4 so I don't know which is the current behaviour.
i'm closing this one then.
