Description kaouete 2007-02-08 13:24:22 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc 4.1.1 gentoo
OS: Linux

Hi,

When using composite and xcompmgr, on fluxbox-svn you can set the (real) transparency per application, and fluxbox will set it instead of using transset.
For example here i told fluxbox that when konsole is started, it should set its transparency to 80%.

With any application (but konsole :) whet i run the app, it is transparent like it should.
But when running konsole, each time, even if other konsole are started, the window (i said window because the all the window should be transparent, not only the background) is not transparent, and if i resize it, the window become transparent.

At first i thought it was a bug with fluxbox, but as i get this problem only with konsole, maybe there is something that prevent real transparency to work at start

Note that i am using a normal konsole, without the #define uncommented to add support for real transparency _from_ konsole.

In fact it was a bug in xcompmgr, see :
