Version: 1.9.6 (using KDE 3.5.6, compiled sources) Compiler: Target: x86_64-mandriva-linux-gnu OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.17-8mdv in Kmail configuration windows in tab "Security->Reading->Message Disposition Notification", in send policy i have set to "Ask", however when sending an email that never happens. So that a mail can be sent with notification, in kmail message window i have to enable option "Options->Request Disposition Nofication" but that should never be needed since i already set the send policy to ask, so kmail isnt doinf what should do.
This is a misunderstanding. The "send policy" is not about enabling disposition notifications for emails that you SEND, but for enabling/disabling confirmation mails for disposition notifications you RECEIVE.
So those options are in anyway related about sending emails with notifications? So to enable notification in sent mails there is only the option in message window "Options->Request Disposition Nofication" ?
>So those options are in anyway related about sending emails with notifications? No, these options are only related to mails you receive, not for sending mails at all. >So to enable notification in sent mails there is only the option in message window "Options->Request Disposition Nofication" ? As far as I know, yes.
I see, but this is the kind of option that should exist in kmail configuration windows since there maybe users that would simply prefer to have this option enabled by default instead being always needed to set it when sending an email.
>I see, but this is the kind of option that should exist in kmail configuration windows Well, I disagree because I think MDN are highly annoying. But if you *really* think you need that option, open a new bug report (wishlist).
