Description Christian Weiske 2007-02-04 18:07:49 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

Imagine this:
- create a new album
- add one picture named "b.jpg"
- add a second picture named "a.jpg"
- View slideshow

Guess what? Although sorted correctly by name in thumbnail view, the images appear "unsorted" in the slideshow. IMO slideshow does not sort pictures at all but gets them as stored in the database - early added pictures first, pictures added last at last.

This should be fixed to use sort-by-name order.

Erm, this bug should be files under "digikam", not kchart.

Christian,

Are you talking about internal digiKam slideshow (simple tool) or the kipi-plugin slideshow (openGL & FX) ?

Comment 3 Christian Weiske 2007-11-06 16:57:12 UTC
about the kipi-plugin
Comment 4 Valerio Fuoglio 2007-11-06 17:06:40 UTC
I cannot reproduce this behaviour.
If I rename two images (as you told), digikam resort them suddenly and slideshow show them in correct order (a.jpg, b.jpg).

Gilles, could you confirm?
Comment 5 Christian Weiske 2007-11-06 17:19:22 UTC
It seems I cannot reconfirm this with digikam 0.9.2 and kipi 0.1.5
Although it seems to happen with digikam's inbuilt slideshow when using "recursive with sub albums"
Comment 6 Christian Weiske 2007-11-06 17:23:59 UTC
doesn't happen anymore, marking resolved
Comment 7 caulier.gilles 2007-11-06 18:13:17 UTC
Valerio, Christian,

This is normal (:=))). This bug is releavant of another one from kipiinterface from digiKam core. It have been fixed with 0.9.2 if i remember...
