Description DjDarkman 2007-02-02 13:26:07 UTC
Version: 0.12.4 (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 20060928 (prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.1.1-13ubuntu5) Linux Darknet2 2.6.18.3 #1 SMP Sun Nov 19 20:06:36 JST 2006 x86_64 GNU/Linux
OS: Linux

The global identity name doesn`t work in this new version of kopete ,altough it worked in later versions.I use the yahoo protocol ,and if I want kopete to display DjDarkman in the chat it doesn`t do it ,it displays djdarkmanxx wich is my yahoo id ,but I state oncemore this worked in later versions ,and if I specify someone else in my contact list a nickname it works without a problem.

Is this a duplicate of bug 139115 ?
Comment 2 DjDarkman 2007-02-08 12:14:32 UTC
Yes ,but this applies for yahoo.

Since it's the same bug, I'm marking it as a dup and adding a note about Yahoo to the other bug.

Open this bug only for Yahoo.

Hello from the KDE Bugsquad!

Unfortunately, Yahoo has discontinued the Yahoo Messenger service, and the code has been removed from Kopete.

Thus, I am closing this bug as "UNMAINTAINED" since it will no longer be fixable, or able to operate due to Yahoo.
