Version:           3.4.0 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from:    Debian testing/unstable Packages
Compiler:          gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 20061115 (prerelease) (Debian 4.1.1-21)

Menu options "Format files" converts russian symbols in UTF-8 files to question marks. But "Format selection" don't this.

I confirm this bug with KDevelop 3.5.0 (using KDE 3.5.8) on Ubuntu Gutsy.
For example, the french "ô" becomes "ô" with the "Format files" option but not with "Format selection".

this seems to be fixed in kdevelop4, at least I can't reproduce it there.

what a pity that it has not been fixed in KDevelop 3.5.4.
