Version: 1.2.5 (using KDE 3.5.5, Debian Package 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-5 (4.0)) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.18-3-k7 I've got a virtual desktop size of 1230x788px with a real resolution of 1024x768. While featuring a familiar height, the "import news sources" dialog is far too wide. It consumes about 1100px in width, resulting in cut buttons to the right. Since the dialog doesn't simply max out the whole width, and the file names area is almost empty, the width it features looks not being chosen relatively to any external parameter but simply arbitrarily. Despite many screens today feature _at_least_ a 1280x1024 resolution, I think no dialog should rely on that minimum resolution. -- Would be nice if you'd fix that. . Additionally, I'll add a screen shot of the dialog + a line indicating the 1024 snap.

Do you have that problem only with this particular dialog, or with KDE file dialogs in general? We use the standard dialog here in a standard way. Try e.g. Location->Save As in Konqueror and compare.
Hi Frank, I tried it on Konversation and Konqueror, now. Both feature that far too wide "Save as" dialog.
I noticed: That issue existed in KDE 3.3.2 already. But somehow, now, I noticed it for the first time. (Maybe I wasn't too much after the accesibility issues before...)
Not an akregator issue, and obsolete with KDE4. Closing.
