Description Joseph Reagle 2007-01-26 16:43:41 UTC
Version: Konqueror 3.5.6 (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
OS: Linux

New since 3.5.6: *Sometimes* when I control click a link to open it in a background tab, the mouse pointer begins smearing all over the desktop (see attached) and Konq keyboard shortcuts no longer respond. I must right-click or press the ESC key to get back to normal. I haven't discerned when this happens or not.

I just installed Konq 3.5.6 again through the Kubuntu Feisty Beta, and it's still present. The problem doesn't go away when I force install Konqueror 3.5.5 from edgy. Perhaps really an issue for KDE base libs.
Comment 3 Joseph Reagle 2007-03-24 00:38:36 UTC
I might have figured it out. The icon smear and pause happens when the "Hide the tab bar when only one tab is open" is enabled, and I ctrl click to create my first background tab in a new Konqueror. If I disable this option (so even one tab shows) the bug is not present so far.
Comment 4 Joseph Reagle 2007-05-30 20:50:57 UTC
Still present in 3.5.7
Comment 5 Médéric Boquien 2008-05-04 16:24:14 UTC
I cannot reproduce the bug anymore with KDE SVN trunk r803711.

Sometimes it happens even on 3.5.8. I've not yet noticed this bug on 3.5.9, but who knows?
Comment 7 Linus Östberg 2008-05-14 00:15:57 UTC
I have never seen this in 3.5.9 nor trunk.
Comment 8 A. Spehr 2008-07-05 23:43:19 UTC
works in trunk (4.00.84)
