Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux Since I upgraded my Debian box to the newest version, KWallet stopped working correctly causing the following bugs: After KDE startup, Kontact and Kopetet are loaded and a KWallet dialog comes up asking to open the wallet as Kopete requested it. After I entered my password correclty the box closes and no icon shows up in the system tray. Kopete also does not connect to the IM services and Kontact did not start at all. After I removed my .kde/share/apps/kwallet directory Kontact started again asking for my passwords and I was able to enter a new wallet password. Kopete did not ask for new passwords and does not work anymore at all. The wallet settings in the Kcontrol center do not work, if I click on them kcontrol will hang. There are no processes like kwallet or kwalletmanager running after I gave Kwallet my password. So it seems as if KWallet is completely broken which blocks the whole system...
Something in addition: After I gave KWallet my password, the laptop battery display stops working.
That sounds like a weird kded crash happening. Did that issue resolve with a later version of KDE?
I'm closing this as I can't reproduce. Please reopen if you think this bug is still valid.
