Description Maciej Pilichowski 2007-01-14 09:54:51 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Run KJobViewer, end current session only, kjobviewer will be closed but the session no -- maybe some apps will be closed too, the desktop background will be removed (and set to black) but that's it. You have to log out "again".

I confirm this behavior on KDE 3.5.9.
Comment 2 Marc Chamberlin 2009-10-23 22:24:57 UTC
I have this problem also. How DARE any programmer write a program that prevents a user from shutting down or restarting his computer!!! Sometimes a request to restart a computer is in response to another emergency and THAT REQUEST MUST BE HONORED AT ALL POSSIBLE COSTS!!!! This freaking bug prevents me from remotely controlling my computer and I sometimes have no awareness that my computer has hung. I consider this a critical design flaw and should be fixed ASAP! I see it was reported in 2007 and here we are TWO years later and still no fix????
Comment 3 Albert Astals Cid 2009-10-24 18:55:22 UTC
Marc, learn to behave, this comment will only make people think you are a jerk and will not make the particular problem to be fixed faster.

On the other hand, if this is so critical for you, just remove this program from your system.

On the other hand (bis) this program is part of KDE3 that at the moment is unmaintained, so the solution is easy update to KDE4.
