Description Ferdinand Gassauer 2007-01-13 12:44:11 UTC
Version: 3.5.3 (using KDE 3.5.5, compiled sources)
Compiler: Target: x86_64-suse-linux
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.18.2-34-default

Hi

There are custom fields in the vcard file

item1.X-ABLabel:_$!<Child>!$_
item1.X-ABLabel:Ferien
item1.X-ABLabel:_$!<Friend>!$_
item1.X-ABLabel:_$!<HomePage>!$_
item1.X-ABLabel:Klinik
item1.X-ABLabel:Mobiltelefon (Arbeit)
item1.X-ABLabel:Mobiltelefon (Privat)
item1.X-ABLabel:Mobil UBS
item1.X-ABLabel:_$!<Mother>!$_
item1.X-ABLabel:_$!<Other>!$_
item1.X-ABLabel:_$!<Partner>!$_
item1.X-ABLabel:_$!<Spouse>!$_
item1.X-ABLabel:Titel

item1.X-ABRELATEDNAMES

Is it possible to import them?

Idea: create a 'global' custom field as mentioned in
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104294

and import the vcard.

1) In Kaddressbook create the custom fields in a dummy contact.

2) Change the custom fields from this format:
item1.X-ABLabel:_$!<Spouse>!$_
To this format:
X-KADDRESSBOOK-spouse;CHARSET=UTF-8:_$!<Spouse>!$_

3) Now you can import them.

The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4.
Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product.
