Version: 0.12.3 (using KDE 3.5.5, Debian Package 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-5 (4.0)) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.17.6 chat window should show not only time but date, too. after a while it is hard to distinguish especially when you are looking for a message from a particular day in history.
better: show date and time (w/ seconds), ie yyyy-mm-dd HH:MM:SS. if i remember right at least the seconds were shown before.

I don't think that this is a good idea. Since instant messaging is sort of casual, seeing the full date and time seems like overkill, and makes it harder to read. Opinions welcome.
well -- i need it. so, some way to configure it inside the application (ie not by fixing config files) would be nice -- i seem to remember that in an early version one could change the appearance of kopete by manipulating [ht|x]ml somwhere under setting -> configure ... it shouldn't be too hard, to have at least a checkbox saying "show date" and depending on its state insert the date, thus it does not depend on the theme but on kopete.
hi! it'd be great to be able to set format of date/time of message to "YYYY-MM-DD HH:II:SS" or any other combination of "YMDHIS". regards :)
