Nevertheless. it makes the konsole A LOT less usable, I have to use xterm foe all compiling made from inside kde. Hello, Does changing the encoding ( Using the Settings -> Encoding menu ) make any difference? > Searching the archives this appears to have been a problem through the years Which archives? Do you have any specific bug reports which seem related to this?
Robert Knight wrote: [bugs.kde.org quoted mail] Hi, I was referring to for example http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133394 this one's similar http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119329 However, the problem could be OS-related (FreeBSD). I have two workstations running FreeBSD 6-STABLE and I have reasons to believe that after the latest updates including KDE it has improved, if not dissapeared. Let me check a little more and come back. > Does changing the encoding ( Using the Settings -> Encoding menu ) > make any difference? Will check and report.
This would seem to be fixed with newest Qt.
Robert Knight wrote: [bugs.kde.org quoted mail] Yes, I can confirm this, did not see one single crash since upgrade of Qt.
