Description Gehold Bertin 2006-12-25 13:24:53 UTC
Version: 1.4.4 (using KDE 3.5.5, Kubuntu (dapper) 4:3.5.5-0ubuntu1~dapper2)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-26-386

At first, it is an reopening of bug http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133030 because it ist not fixed yet.

According to https://launchpad.net/products/katapult/+bug/60136 there is no working fix.

And http://www.sourceguru.net/archives/42 describe the cause of this bug.

When using Katapult to play a media file in Amarok, the URL exported to Amarok begins with a period. This results in the following error from Amarok:

Error Loading Media
No suitable input plugin. This often means that the url's protocol is not supported.
./home/gareth/Music/B/Black Label Society/Mafia/05 - In This River.mp3

If, for example Amarok is given the command:

amarok /home/gareth/Music/B/Black Label Society/Mafia/05 - In This River.mp3

the file plays correctly.

The problem seems to be the dot before /home/

Thanks a lot for fixing that.

Yes, it's a known problem in Katapult - it cannot handle our new Dynamic Collection feature. But the author knows about it and is afaik working on a fix.
