Description David Godfrey 2006-12-18 05:07:15 UTC
Version: 0.5.5 (using KDE 3.5.5, Debian Package 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-5 (4.0))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-abit-1

may be related to http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132329

When viewing a particular PDF I noted that background "watermark" images
were rendered "dark" instead of "light" and obscured text etc.

To obtain this pdf download from here
http://www.oss.wa.gov.au/documents/FINALGUIDE.pdf

After viewing with linux acroread 5.0.5 or 5.0.8
(the about box shows both!!!!! on in title other in text)

I confirmed that the PDF rendered correctly.

I would visually consider this to be a severe bug,
although the severity could be less if the PDF is using an unusual
method of defining the background.
