Version:           0.12.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from:    Gentoo Packages
Compiler:          gcc 4.1.1 i686-pc-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux

The tab button never allows me to insert a tab, whether or not the "Allow Tabulations" check box is checked.

I've tried with different contacts using different protocols.

CTRL-I *always* lets me insert a tab, regardless of the setting, by the way.

Also (but probably a separate bug), the "Allow Tabulations" setting is never saved, globally, or per-contact. Easily reproducible: open a chat, de-select "Allow Tabulations", close the window. Option will be selected next time you open a chat, to that contact or any other.

I cannot find this feature in kopete 0.50.80 (KDE 4.1 Beta2)

I cannot find this feature either in Kopete 0.80.2. (KDE SC 4.3.4).

I believe it was a right click context-menu from the message input field. I haven't used Kopete or KDE in a while, or I'd check. If you don't see it there, then you can change the WAITINGFORINFO tag and consider this... fixed?
