Description Steffen Möller 2006-12-11 11:16:29 UTC
Version: 3.5.5 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

3.5.5 became much better in stability compared with its recent predecessors. Nevertheless, I managed to have it crashed when marking a mail as ham. It was not the first or last in the list of emails if I recall correctly.

Best regards

Steffen

Comment 1 Philip Rodrigues 2006-12-11 14:42:25 UTC
Can you reproduce the crash by performing the same steps again?
Comment 2 Bram Schoenmakers 2006-12-11 22:34:51 UTC
And do you happen to use IMAP? Also, it would be nice if you could provide a more detailed backtrace, kdepim-dbg package would come in handy.
Comment 3 Steffen Möller 2007-01-08 11:48:50 UTC
Hi, it happens over and over again, though I cannot reproduce it 100% reliably. It is indeed an IMAP account, though I have changed to that only recently, my prior report may have been POP, though I am not certain as I previously had a mixture of IMAP and POP accounts on my machine ... it is all IMAP now.

I have just installed the kdepim-dbg packages as suggested, I did not read this before. The Crash handler, not overly surprisingly, does not update its information, though. The next report will be more verbose, then. I'll make more ham today.

Ok, it crashed right again. It seems reproducible, should I have stated anything else before.

Comment 5 Steffen Möller 2007-01-09 10:52:46 UTC
Updated kmail yesterday to the latest version of Debian unstable and tried hamming a complete directory just for curiosity: the bug is highly reproducible.

Comment 6 Steffen Möller 2007-01-10 09:02:12 UTC
This time I did not ham the complete directory but only a subset that did not include either end of the messages list:

It is the latest version of kmail in Debian unstable: 3.5.5.dfsg.1-5

Updated to 3.5.6 of Debian-Experimental. Selecting multiple emails (about 20) crashed after pressing the "Ham" button.
