fresh install or update of digikam package comes with the hal/dbus default automount script set to "digikam Detect and Download" which is not defined correctly. it issues the command...
/usr/share/apps/digikam/utils/digikam-camera detect
where it should issue...
/usr/share/apps/digikam/utils/digikam-camera storage %u
which "digikam download" and "disgikam Mount and download" scripts does.
so either fix the script or delete it and make one of the other scripts default. (i think)

Closing this one, it is old rather old and a downstream bug.
