Description kilrae 2006-12-05 19:00:53 UTC
Version: 0.9.0 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

I received a number of photos with extensions of .JpG and imported them into my Digikam album. The previews show up fine, but when I try opening them nothing happens. The 'Open With' menu on right click is empty for these files. I changed all the extensions and they open fine now. It would be nice if you didn't have to worry about the case of file extensions.

Reproduce: Name an image test.JpG and import it. Try opening it.

kilrae,

The "Open With" menu entry is driven by KDE core, not digiKam itself. Set the right file mime type association in KDE control center to fix your problem.
