Description Mathieu Jobin 2006-12-04 07:07:21 UTC
Version: 0.12.3 (using KDE 3.5.5, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.6 (Gentoo 3.3.6-r1, ssp-3.3.6-1.0, pie-8.7.8)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.18-justbudget

I wanted to remove a jabber account from my kopete.

I click remove, and then it ask me if I want to unregister as well. I click that Yes I want to.

but then it tells me "can't unregister, please connect first" and go on with deleting the account from kopete. now to unregister I need to re-add the account, connect and re-delete.

while it really should have cancel the "transaction". If I want the account to be unregister and you cannot proceed. you tell me why but then you stop there. you should not go on with what is next.

thanks

IMO this is a design problem that need to be solved. Same when deleting a contact, no check is done if the deleting of the contact went correctly.

This happened to me as well. I am using 0.50.1 on Gentoo off of KDE 4.0.3.

It seems like it disappears when i try to remove the account. However, if I click on "Default Identity" and then click "Modify Identity" followed by "Cancel". The Jabber account reappears. I have been able to repeat this multiple times..

I'm trying to connect to Gmail.
