Version: 0.9.0-Beta3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5) OS: Linux As color managed display in DigiKam is extremely slow, it would be most convenient if one could quickly switch between color managed view on and off. I would suggest adding an entry to the 'display' menu, along with a keyboard shortcut, just like CinePaint has.
Hi Dik, >As color managed display in DigiKam is extremely slow Well check the code fixed under svn (will be available for 0.9.0-RC2). I have optimized a little and of course fixed a lot of dysfunctions. > I would suggest adding an entry to the 'display' menu Excelent idea ! Why i have never thinking about that (:=)))... Gilles
> I have optimized a little and of course fixed a lot of dysfunctions Wheee, that sounds good... :) > Why i have never thinking about that My guess: You are too busy to spend time using other graphics applications? :)
> My guess: You are too busy to spend time using other graphics applications? :) Dik, all my _free_ time is used to develop/maintain digiKam/DigikamImagePlugins/Kipi-plugins/Exiv2 source code (around 1-2 hours by day, sometimes more...). It not simple i have no more free time to look outside this world. This is why all feedback from users is very important. You test/look for me all possible ideas taken form others applications, and we can discust about it in this room to improve digiKam & co... Gilles
I know, hence the ':)' . :)
Dik, Witch keyboard shortcut Cinepaint use to toogle on/off Color managed view ? Gilles
With commit ♯160792, Image Editor has a new keyboard shortcut to toggle on/off Monitor Color Corrections. The key is F12. Dik, if this one is not right for you (especially to have the same than Cinepaint), please let hear. i close this file now. Gilles
Unfortunately CinePaint does not have a keyboard shortcut assigned to the menu entry. I wasn't very clear on that one. But I'm sure I will be very happy with F12 in DigiKam. :) Thanks a lot!
Dik, My question about keyboard shortcut is to have an homogenous interface with others programs. If for ex. Photoshop have this feature, we can change the shortcut accordinly. It very simple to do. Just let's me hear (:=)))... Gilles
