Description Daniel Cabrera 2006-11-29 12:49:44 UTC
Version: 0.5.5 (using KDE 3.5.5, Debian Package 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-3 (4.0))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.17-2-k7

When i load a pdf document and scroll down too fast (with AvPag key)...

while kpdf is loading the page, it show a cross lines. In my laptop, he crossed lines are drawn outside the document's area (where de pdf document is displayed). Even, it are drawn outside the kpdf's windows.

Note: I think that the crossing lines are not clipping inside the document's area and it are drawned within the full X's display.

strange, can't reproduce it here and have same style and probably very similar binaries, will try to find someone using debian and see if he has the same error.

Which video driver do you have?
Comment 7 Daniel Cabrera 2006-12-17 21:06:59 UTC
My Xorg.conf

Section "Device"
Identifier "VIA Technologies, Inc. VT8378 [S3 UniChrome] Integrated Video"
        Driver "via"
        BusID "PCI:1:0:0"
# VideoRam 32768
# Option "UseFBDev" "true"
EndSection
Comment 8 Pino Toscano 2006-12-17 21:50:20 UTC
A friend of mine confirmed the bug with the very same video driver, and using the cvs version of the driver itself fixed the issue.
In every case, it's not a KPDF issue.

Hi, how are you?
I'm having the same problem with this conf:

Version: 0.5.7 (using KDE 3.5.7,
                           Slackware Package kdegraphics-3.5.7-i486-2_slack12 )
Compiler: Target: i486-slackware-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.21.5-smp

My xorg.conf:

Section "Device"
    Identifier "VIA K8M800"
    Driver "via"
    VendorName "VIA Technologies, Inc."
    #VideoRam 4096
    # Insert Clocks lines here if appropriate
EndSection

Do you think it's a drivers problem? I didn't have it in my Slackware 11 with the previous version of kpdf.

Best wishes from Argentina.

You know...i'm still also wondering about it why it happened...My
private opinion is that its in kpdf self....but i don't have the time
to debug it myself :(
....already happy chistmas :))

Hi, thanks for your answer. I tell you that I temporally "solve" it, viewing the documents without the "Enable background generation" setting in Configure-->Perfomance settings.
It's a bit slower but it doesn't matter.
