Version: 1.6.5 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux It would be (very very) nice if konsole could get the same (additional) method to close a tab, as in konqueror and firefox. In the last 2 applications it is possible to close a tab with the MMB (middle mouse button), and I must admit this is addicting. Once used to it, you can't live without it. To enable this in konqueror use: From konquerorrc: [FMSettings] MouseMiddleClickClosesTab=true Perhaps something similar can be added to konsole???
Yes, good idea. It would also make tabs more consistant across various applications. I need to check whether this can be done already at the level of the KDE libraries. It would be better there as it would make this feature available to other KDE applications without additional code in each program.
Have you checked if this can be done at the KDE level? This should get considered for KDE4.

Excuse me for bothering you but as this seems to be implemented quite some time ago - how can I activate it in konsole of KDE 3.5.9? Do I have to add something to konsolerc (similar to konquerorrc mentioned above)?
Hi Janet, The fix applies to KDE 4, this feature is unfortunately not available in KDE 3.5.9 that I know of.
It does not work for me in 2.4.3 (KDE 4.4.3), Ubuntu Lucid. Has this regressed, or am I missing something?
I've 2.3.3, looks like it has been added between 2.3.3 and 2.4.3.
