Description Gabriel Ambuehl 2006-11-18 11:22:38 UTC
Version: 0.5.81 (Kubuntu package) (using KDE Devel)
Installed from:    Compiled sources
OS:                Linux

If the selection tool was used, the Review toolbar subsequently won't be shown anymore, no matter if you hit F6 or select it from menu.

Steps to reproduce:
* Open PDF
* Use Select tool
* Try to load the Teview toolbar

There seem no errors on STDOUT/ERR

As discussed on IRC, this happens because one leaves browse mode when using another tool. To get the toolbar to show up, chose browse mode and THEN reactivate it (for the time being anyway) (you cant use the toolbar outside of browse mode so this makes sense when I come to think of it).

Personally, I would very much support behavior where choosing Review from Menu and hitting F6 would automatically go back to browse mode and then show the toolbar.

 usability: as the annotation tools can be used only in normal mode, switch to normal mode when the user choose to use them
