Description John Lewis 2006-11-09 11:02:21 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I'm using the Kopete release that cames with Suse Linux 10.1. My webcam is a Philips Toucam Pro and the drivers are correctly loaded, because I can see the images when I configure the webcam in Kopete or with other applications.
The problem I have is that when having a chat with MSN people, they send me their webcam, I accept the message, but nothing happends. The same happends with them, I send my webcam, they accept the message, but they don't see nothing.
I have configured the ports in suse firewall (Firewall configuration/Expert/add ports): first only TCP 6891, but later I add TCP 1863, 6891:6900, 6901 and UDP 6901, 1863. The same behaviour occurs when I don't add ports.

You need to open ports 6891:6901 for *UDP*.
Comment 2 Matt Rogers 2007-06-09 06:26:28 UTC
Open ports 6891:6901 for UDP in the suse firewall. Incorrect firewall configuration is not a bug with Kopete.
