Installed from:    Gentoo Packages
Compiler:          gcc-4.0 
OS:                Linux

Using a xine engine that supports flac.

I try to drag a flac file into the playlist, and it says 'Some media could not be loaded (not playable)'.

If I copy the same file into the playlist with vi, it plays just fine.

This appears to be new behavior in 1.4.3

Then your xine engine does not report correctly that it is capable of playing .flac files. Could you please check with current xine that the problem still exists and report the problem to the xine developers?
