Description Michael R. 2006-11-01 22:58:04 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources

It would be great if it is possible to manually enter the GPS Data within digiKam.

a) Either per Picture

and/or

b) An optional entry for the Tags that allow to add a GPS Data to that Tag. If a Photo/Photos are linked to the Tag allow to write the Koordinates into the IPTC fields (or where they belong).

I see one problem that needs to be thought of for implementation b): If a photo is linked to two Tags with different GPS Data linked to it.

Michael,

The GPSSync kipi-plugin provide already this feature:

- For one file :

http://www.digikam.org/?q=node/170

- For a pictures collection :

http://kde-apps.org/content/preview.php?preview=3&id=16061&file1=16061-1.jpg&file2=16061-2.jpg&file3=16061-3.jpg&name=Kipi

No need to duplicate this task in digiKam core.

Not reproducible with digiKam 7.3.0 + Exiv2 0.27.3
