Description Maciej Pilichowski 2006-10-30 16:43:54 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Well, nothing to add really. No apply, cancel -- it looks like module from another (non-KDE) world.

Thank you for the report. Indeed, the UI of the kcontrol module has to be reworked, just like the rest of the UI. This is in my plans for the second stage (after leveling with latest CUPS).

Hi! What's about this bug on current KDE 4?
Comment 3 Maciej Pilichowski 2009-01-06 22:08:35 UTC
I don't see any printer module in SS now at all (kde4daily).
Comment 4 John Layt 2009-01-09 00:00:32 UTC
Nope, kcmprintmgr as part of KDEPrint has been dropped in KDE4 and replaced with system-config-printer-kde which is available in kdeadmin.

So, closing as KDEPrint is now UNMAINTAINED so the KDE3 version will never get reworked.
Comment 5 Maciej Pilichowski 2009-01-09 12:13:00 UTC
KDE4daily, no such program (neither of any of them) in the system. Shouldn't printer settings be managed from systemsettings -- as a module?
Comment 6 John Layt 2009-01-09 23:14:57 UTC
The kdeadmin module is not included in kde4daily (see http://etotheipiplusone.com/kde4daily/docs/kde4daily.html#Included_Modules). When installed it does show up in System Settings, albeit with a similar issue of currently not looking too much like the other kcm's. However it would be unfair to tag a new app with such an old bug.
