Version: 1.6 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5) Installed from: Gentoo Packages Compiler: gcc-4.1.1-r1 OS: Linux kword can't find any dictionaries with aspell/ispell If I would start the application from terminal, it says: Kword: ERROR: no language dictionaries for the language : en_US Nevertheless other all applications (kmail/kopete/konqueror/kspread...) are working with aspell just fine. In the configuration dialog of kword you can see only one language "en_US". Just on case i checked aspell: >>>aspell dump dicts en en-variant_0 en-variant_1 en-variant_2 en-w_accents en-wo_accents en_CA en_CA-w_accents en_CA-wo_accents en_GB en_GB-ise en_GB-ise-w_accents en_GB-ise-wo_accents en_GB-ize en_GB-ize-w_accents en_GB-ize-wo_accents en_GB-w_accents en_GB-wo_accents en_US en_US-w_accents en_US-wo_accents

I don't agree! That's a COMPLETELY different case. Firstly, the bug 127934 is about "unable to switch languages". Secondly, it's about koffice 1.5. I've been able using spellchecking with kword 1.5 (to be more specific, before kword 1.6-rc1), but now spellchecking simply doesn't work at all!
According the last my comment I'd like to reopen this case.
Strange but I have identical problem with koffice 1.5 to koffice 1.6, gentoo kde 3.5.4 (now using kde 3.5.5). So could it be gentoo specific bug ?
There's a topic about this problem on Gentoo forum: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-437348-highlight-.html The problem isn't really clear. I think this is a bad combination of some versions of kdelibs and specific versions of kword
Ok I posted that on gentoo bugs, and I had replay with explanation on how to make it work: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=152417
Oh, that's clever. Disabling kspell2 from kdelibs -- and we get the bug reports. Red card for the gentoo maintainers.
