I would like to see support for true transparency (a la the latest konsole) implemented for both the contact list AND the chat window.

Right now, I have my contact list up and with no menus or border, and locked to my desktop, it would be so much more awesome if it would just have a transparent background...

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
