Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux I cannot logout of KDE 3.5.5 since I updated to Kubuntu Edgy Eft. I tried: * The button in the K-Menu. * The button in the contect menu of the desktop (RMB-click on the desktop) * The kdcop-app * dcop ksmserver ksmserver logout 0 0 0 * dcop kdesktop KDesktopIface logout Nothing at all happens. No errors in .xsession-errors. carsten@helium:~$ ps aux | grep dcop carsten 4521 0.0 0.8 25064 2132 ? S 19:33 0:09 dcopserver [kdeinit] --nosid
I have the same problem, but it's not systematic. I have been unable yet to find a reproductible path but both: dcop kdesktop KDesktopIface logout dcop ksmserver ksmserver logout 0 0 0 refuse to do anything. So I try to launch a new session, and test it, and there it is working.
I reported in KUbuntus tracker as well: https://launchpad.net/products/kdelibs/+bug/66165
This issue is kubuntu specific, and due to kdebluetooth autostart feature. Should be closed here as it doesn't concern kde.
Rejecting, it was a problem in Kubuntu which has now been fixed.
