Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.4) Installed from: Mandriva RPMs When pasting the text: /usr/bin/svn mkdir -m "Création du domaine 'test'" file:///home/benoit/asap/ecosys/ecosys/svn/test in Konsole the 'file://' part was removed. And so the command becomes syntactically incorrect. I think this behaviour comes from wish #64238, and that implementing it was a *very* bad idea.

How are you pasting the text? It works here for: 1. Using middle mouse 2. Using Shift_Insert 3. Using Menu for paste
1) or 3)
Can't duplicate it here... how are you copying the file and from what app?
Apparently from any application. For example, I open KWrite, and I type: abc def file:///test/test Then I select all the text and I paste it into Konsole. I get: abc def ///test/test 'file:' was removed.
This bug does not occur if I use drag the text with the mouse and drop it into Konsole.
This bug is there with KDE 3.5.5 too.
I cannot reproduce this here either. KDE 3.5.5.
This bug is there with KDE 3.5.6.
The bug is present in KDE 3.5.7.
I am still not able to reproduce this in KDE 3.5.6. Plus, just looking at the code I cannot see any logic to do this - which would have to exist since the text will not trim itself.
The bug has gone away... Yet with KDE 3.5.7, but on Mandriva 2008.
