Description Julien Narboux 2006-10-10 10:38:42 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)

A feature which would be great for organizing travel pics would be
automatic tagging according to the gps data. I imagine a keyword structure
"location" with subkeywords continent/country/city. A gps entry with
corresponding data would then result in associating the keyword
 Location/Europe/Italy/Rome with this picture.

Hummmmmm...

later 0.9.0, the digiKam database structure be updated

... we will store in database the GPS location. Like this we can perform pictures searching using geolocalization or a city/region/country name (using a simple conversion interface).

If this what you want, please, move this file into digiKam B.K.O are, into "Search" category.
