Version: unknown (using KDE 3.5.4, Arch Linux) Compiler: Target: i686-pc-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.18-ARCH reproduce: * open kontact * use kmail inside kontact * open gwenview or other tool using kipi plugins * select a image to be sent per email and use kipi plugin "Email Images ..." to send it - use "Kmail" as email agent => it opens a window with a new email (this is expected behaviour) * you can send the email correctly => however, the kontact window disappears while this new email window opens... and if you start it again (kontact) it opens but claims that kmail is running already in a separate instance (opening it in a new window) ... very strange behaviour.... shouldn't kipi detect the email-agent of kde and reuse it instead of killing kontact, start kmail and use it?
Hi, hm, i can't reproduce this behaviour. I am using KDE 3.5.5. Can you give me any hint?
indeed, in 3.5.5 i cannot reproduce it myself either. fixed - feel free to close.
