Description Christian González 2006-09-25 15:30:00 UTC
Version: 0.2 (using KDE 3.5.4, Kubuntu (edgy) 4:3.5.4-0ubuntu17)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.17-9-generic

I use "double click to open" as global setting in KDE - but when single-clicking an icon in systemsettings it opens the requested task!
This only can be a forgotten bug noone cares about, can't it (please tell me if I'm wrong?
Everywhere else (konqueror) it works as it should, so it's NOT related to Bug 52314, I think.

Maybe something to do with Bug 115552?

I think it's annoying, becaus I hate single clicks to open items/files - If it is no bug, please put it on the WISHLIST.
Chris

This behaviour has been changed in KDE4. Anyway it has been asked to roll back: see bug #160557.

Bit it is neither resolved nor WORKSFORME - either set it as WONTFIX or leave the bug open.
The single-double-click-thing is anotehr soty - which one is the "better" solution."
Because if you implement single click systemwide, you have to change more than just file-open clicks etc. but, was I already said, thats another story.

So I don't want to be keen and reopen this bug for myself - because I may don't know the exact meanings of theses things - but IMO this bug is not WORKSFORME.
