Description Shriramana Sharma 2006-09-21 16:35:03 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I suggest the following rewording for some menu/toolbar entries in KGet:

Resume : Start
Timer : Delay
Delay : Stop/Dequeue

There is no meaning in "resuming a download" if the download has not been started at all. OTOH, "start" for "resume" has been used by many download managers.

Also, "timer" gives the impression that one is able to program a particular start schedule for the download which is not true. It's only to delay the download a few seconds. (The schedule feature has been requested by me only today as bug 134440.)

Delay actually means "Stop" the download. Also it means "Dequeue". So it also must be renamed.

Due to the move from the make_kget_cool branch back into kdenetwork, this issue has been resolved.
