Version: 0.12.2 (using KDE KDE 3.5.4) Installed from: Gentoo Packages i usually configure kopete to hide offline contacts. sometimes only 3 or 4 of my contacts are online - in such a moment it's no big deal to spot the right contact to initiate a conversation. in this case the searchbar should autimatically be hidden. now if suddenly 20 or 30 contacts are online and the kopete main-window has to be scrolled to find contacts, in this case a searchbar should be visible. my idea basically is to show a/the searchbar whenever the contact lists scroll-bars are visible - i guess that would make sense - and otherwise hide that feature. i'd love to see that in a upcoming version. it would be great if that was enabled without any further configuration, as kopete amount of config-options get's unbearable!
would be great if the search bar is hidden all the time (as an option of course) and magically appears when some alphanumeric key is hit in kopete. Something like the incremental search in konqueror ('/' is the key) would be cool
Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained. Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
