Description Moritz Schmidt 2006-09-14 12:48:31 UTC
Version: 1.9.4 (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

KMail recognises some smilies and displays them as emoticons (using <kde-dir>/share/emoticons/Default), which is great.

Alas, this ability isnt customisable at all.
KMail doesn't have an option to choose between iconsets, nor does it seem to recognize the emoticons.xml like Kopete does.

Would be great if KMail could do it like Kopete.

(if one could choose the emoticon set in the KDE control center for all KDE messaging applications... that'd be even the best option, maybe)

It has been implemented on KDE4: you can select the default smilies for the whole KDE4 enviroment :-)
