Description Irina Adam 2006-08-29 23:59:28 UTC
Version: 0.11.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Yahoo emoticons :"> and :-" are not displayed if entered by keyboard or by click in emoticons dialog.
The other person receiving them sees them correctly.

If the emoticons are received from a contact they are displayed correctly but if the mouse is hovered :-" is displayed only as :- (without quote).

The expected behaviour is to see the emoticon, otherwise the user might be thinking that it's not working.

What emoticon theme are you using ?
Comment 2 Irina Adam 2006-09-17 13:09:16 UTC
I'm using Yahoo! 7 With Voice theme, which I got from here: http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=31230

Also I've fixed the issues with > not being &gt.

Since I'm using mainly Yahoo protocol it would be nice if they all worked ;)

All show everything after the :)
That might be another reported bug.

 The icon between: :-?? :(( doesn't work.

All the others in the theme work. Fixed for this one, dup for the others?

Hello from the KDE Bugsquad!

Unfortunately, Yahoo has discontinued the Yahoo Messenger service, and the code has been removed from Kopete.

Thus, I am closing this bug as "UNMAINTAINED" since it will no longer be fixable, or able to operate due to Yahoo.
