Description Benoit DUMONT 2006-08-29 21:45:24 UTC
Version: 0.9.0-svn (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

The "Media browse" menu inside "Camera" is showing in a very strange way when I activate the "Menu drop shadow" in Kontrol (Style window)

Benoit,

I suspect a KDE theme bug. Change theme to verify this way.

I tried to change to various theme Mandriva, Keramid, KDE Classic and all have the same display problem still related to the "Menu drop shadow".
This menu entry is this only one (including all other menu in digikam and all other applications as well) that has this small pb.
Sorry about not feeding the component correctly. I will make sure to do it correctly next time.

Happens for me too, but only with enabled menu shadows.
However, I think this is digikam's fault, since even without shadows, you still can see, very briefly, another submenu when hovering over the "Media Browse" entry. The shape of this menu then very quickly changes to the correct one.
I'd suggest delaying the showing of the submenu until it is fully constructed and correctly shaped.

This entry still valid with digiKam 0.10.0 ?

I don't think so, the old menu drop shadows are gone in KDE4, and also the media browse menu I think.
