Description Benoit DUMONT 2006-08-29 15:26:01 UTC
Version: 0.9.0-beta1 (using KDE 3.5.4, compiled sources)
Compiler: Target: i586-mandriva-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.12-12mdksmp

I have a JVC camera and I connect it using USB Mass Storage.

This camera is using 2 files mgr_data and prg_mgr inside a folder mgr_info.
Those 2 files are binary files but both of them are displayed in the download window of digikam.
It would be nice to have them removed from the files to be downloaded.

It would be nice also to have the *.mod files available to download as the MPEG movies files have this extension.

Benoit,

Are you using the UMS digiKam driver or the gphoto2 drivers ? Look in Help->Camera info for details

I am using the UMS digikam driver ("Mounted camera" / "Directory Browse").
For the mod video download , I manually added *.mod to the video mime types but I am sure that this could be set by default for all JVC users.

Is this still valid?

Benoit,

Please try digiKam 0.9.4 (oe 0.10.0-beta6 if you use KDE4) and give us a fresh feedback

Thanks in advance

I am using 0.9.5 beta1 and I still have those 2 files listed.
Thanks for asking.
